Beef on Netflix is a must-watch

When Netflix showed the trailer for Beef, it looked good and weird, but there was hope that it would be a good TV series. Although there was a little hype about it, it was not enough to make it become a must-watch for viewers, as it didn’t create the euphoria that a lot of people were expecting.

In its second season now, Beef has grown to be in its own lane, establishing the core competencies that Netflix initially had for it. The first season had to be rebooted because it had drama and action that gripped the audience, and it had everyone engaged. It is also good to see the full Asian cast in season one, and the audience gets to learn a little bit about the Asian culture where their native language is spoken in most scenes.

Season one of Beef highlights the rich and poor, and power and wealth. Season one is so gripping that audiences are engaged and get to pick their first favourite character or who they are rooting for to have the last word or laugh. The plot twists in season one can get the audience on the edge, and it makes you want to watch more of it. The ending of season one was not good, as both main characters sort of fell in love and lay next to each other on the hospital bed.

Season two starts with completely new characters, and this is where there is a slight disconnection between the two seasons. However, the storyline still keeps the audience engaged and tuned in to find out more. The director still stayed with his roots and kept it with a full Asian cast.

The director develops a story that flows very well and still has dynamism, with characteristics that again allow the audience to choose their favourite character to follow for the whole season. The ending in season two is interesting because the director creates a circle of life. It will be interesting to see if the characters from season one and two come together. And the audience might find out that some of the characters are linked to each other.

Nevertheless, season three is going to be good…
